Remove the Start button to free up desktop space
The Start button is a good starting point for using windows but there's no denying it takes up quite a bit of valuable desktop space.
Start Killer is a simple application that removes the Start button in your taskbar. Although you can't see it, the button is still there as it can be revealed by simply pressing the Windows key or pressing CTRL + ESC at the same time.
Start Killer does however sit in your system tray, meaning that it also uses up some screen real estate although you can disable this in the options. You can access the options menu by pressing CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+F12 in combination.
Start Killer isn't an essential tool but if you're desperately running out of space on your desktop, it could be useful.
